Frequently Asked Questions
Are You An Authorized Rolex
Dealer?
No, we are not an authorized Rolex
dealer nor are we affiliated with Rolex USA. This gives us the freedom to price
point at our own discretion. We are also able to offer a complete line of our
own custom diamond dials and diamond bezels at a tremendous savings. Rolex does
not allow their dealers to sell used Rolex watches. We are able to offer a huge
selection of reconditioned Rolex watches at a fraction of the cost of a new one
resulting in a tremendous savings to our customers!
Why Should I Buy A Pre-owned
Rolex?
A new Rolex watch, like most luxury
items will depreciate in value immediately after it is purchased. You can avoid
this initial depreciation by purchasing a pre-owned Rolex watch. These
pre-owned Rolex watches greatly hold their value and are almost always worth
more than their original cost later on.
Does The Watch Come With Box And
Papers?
The Castle Jewelry thoroughly
examines every watch we sell to verify it's authenticity. The watch will come
to you in a custom teak wood box. The original box and/or papers for the most
part are not retained by the original owner and are not available. The "papers"
are the original warranty papers from Rolex made out with the original
purchasers name on them AND are not transferable. Rolex gives a two year parts
and labor warranty. The Castle Jewelry also gives a two year full parts and
labor warranty on each watch we sell. Every Rolex comes with a written
appraisal for your insurance company that includes the model and serial
number.
What Condition Are Your Watches
In?
Most of our Rolex watches are in
excellent or "like new" condition. We define excellent as no visible scratches
on the case, band, bezel or crystal. And if not, "like new" will not appear in
the listing. If possible we try to illustrate in actual photo of watch.
Almost all of our Rolex watches have had some cosmetic polishing. Unless our ad
states 100% original, our Rolex watch may have after market replacement parts
including crystals and bands. Buyer should assume all diamonds have been added
after market unless our ad states they are original. Our Rolex watches are
guaranteed to have genuine Rolex watch parts as follows: the entire movement
(over 100 parts), the Rolex watch case and the case back, the Rolex crown winder
and the Rolex clasp on the band.
How Do I Know The Castle Jewelry
Is A Reputable Dealer?
The Castle Jewelry has been in
business for over 23 years and on-line for over 7 years. We have a 99% positive
feedback rating on eBay with over 5400 total feedbacks. We consistently
receive highest buyers' ratings and have earned a track record of excellent
service. We are members of The Better Business Bureau, Lexington Chamber of
Commerce, The National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, and The
Jewelers Board of Trade. We have one of the highest industry ratings with the
Jewelers Board of Trade.
Where Do You Get Your Watches?
Most of our Rolex watches are
obtained through a network of suppliers that we have established over many
years. Without this network, we would not be able to offer the large selection
and discounted prices to our customers. We deal only with reputable vendors.
Some of the Rolex watches are taken in on trade, traded in on other Rolex
watches or some other piece of jewelry. We also buy Rolex watches directly from
the public after we closely examine the watch and the identification of the
seller.
How Do I Know These Watches Are
Authentic?
We do not deal in replicas or
non-authentic watches. Replicas are illegal. Every pre-owned Rolex we sell is
thoroughly inspected, cleaned, and polished by one of our certified
watchmakers.
How Do I Know What The Model/Serial
Number Of My Watch Is?
You will find the model number of
any Rolex watch imprinted on the case between the lugs on the 12 o'clock
side. The serial number can be found in the same place on the case between the
lugs on the 6 o'clock side. All the watches we sell will have these identifying
numbers intact.
How Often Should I Have My Rolex
Watch Serviced?
A Rolex is an investment that will
keep its value if serviced regularly. We recommend that your watch should be
cleaned and serviced every three years. A Rolex watch needs regular maintenance
in order to maintain optimal running order. It is critical to keep mechanical
watch parts well lubricated and clean.
