This beautiful ring is shaped in the design of a
lady bug. It features tri-colored gold "spots" on it's yellow enameled back and
has bezel set ruby eyes. It's secret hinged back opens up to reveal the Virgin
Mary.
Crafted in solid 14 karat yellow gold and weighs 7.9 grams.
Finger size is a 7 and can be easily customized to fit.
In Europe, during the Middle Ages, insects were
destroying the crops, so the Catholic farmers prayed to the Virgin Mary for
help. Soon the Ladybugs came, ate the plant-destroying pests and saved the
crops! The farmers began calling the ladybugs "The Beetles of Our Lady", and
they eventually became known as "Lady Beetles"!
